Just as you are.
Hungry for more of Him.
Desperate for Him to show up in your life.
Lost without Him.
Angry at Him.
Bitter because He did not change things .
Wherever you are, whatever you feel, however you were brought up, remember that He knows you. He created you. He does not want anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9)…… But……. and there’s a big but here. He will not force you. You have a right to chose to accept Him. Or not. God will abide by your choice.
This is the time. There are no second chances after your death. Please open up your heart to Him and let Him in. Repent and confess your sins and need for Him. Let Jesus be Lord of your life. Trust in the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
One God. One God only. In three persons.
31 They replied, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved – you and your household.’
This is true even now.
Confess with your mouth. Believe in your heart. Accept Him. Surrender everything to Him. Follow Him.
This will cost you. You may literally lose everything else if you chose Jesus. Others may try to make you change your mind. Life may become hard. But it will be worth choosing Him. Why?
1 You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death”[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.’
12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
At the fall, because of our disobedience and pride, our sin divided us from the sweet fellowship with God. He walked with Adam and Eve in the garden and talked to them. He spoke to Moses as to a friend “face to face” ( Moses wasn’t allowed to see God’s face while he was alive, but Moses got to speak to God consistently ). He allowed Abraham to know His plans and even graciously allowed him to “bargain” for lives of the people in Sodom and Gomorrah. God communicated with the prophets of old and gave them visions and dreams and prophesies of things not yet come.
Then in an act of selfless love, He limited himself to a human body and its fraility and was born into this world. Born to save by dying. Born to restore man to communion and the presence of God by giving Himself as the atonement, the sacrificial Lamb. Born to be betrayed , but still choosing to invest 3 years in that man’s life, so that the scriptures might be fulfilled. Jesus, God the Son, Son of God, Son of Man, came to become a bridge for us, sinful people washed by His blood, who can now come boldly to the throne of grace in the presence of a Holy God.
This God longs for you to accept Him and let Him live in you. Will you accept Him?
This is a prayer that you can pray, “Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name. Amen.”
Some things to help you on your way after this.
Join a Bible- based church.
Meet with a small group or godly mentor to help you understand and keep you accountable.
Pray on all occasions with all kinds of prayer.
Reading the Bible is important too and in this day and age, it’s easier than before. You can use an actual Bible you can hold or go online. Some apps that are especially helpful are YouVersion and BibleGateway.
I like Youversion for its devotionals and user friendly technology. You can download easy to read versions of the Bible (The Message, Amplified, New International Version, New Living Translation etc) for use off line and there are thousands of devotionals you can chose from. They have ones for women, men, married couples, marriage, children, teens, youth, in depth ones on scripture, easy to read and process devotionals.
I like BibleGateway for the fact that you have free commentaries available with the basic plan. Some of the ones that I use often and refer to are the Matthew Henry and Warren Wiersbe commentaries. Biblegateway has some devotionals, but these are in depth scripture ones, meant to be used as study tools. You can download a few versions for off line use but these are obscure, hard to understand versions.
If you’re new (er) to Christianity, start with YouVersion. If you want to study scripture more and have a broader understanding go with BibleGateway.
But either way, make scripture a part of your day.
I hope to meet you in heaven one day.
